The Exchange #17 Retrofit Skills Level 2 Training | The Green Register
On Monday, January 19, 2026, NTB is pleased to offer a special one time opportunity to acccess the Retrofit Skills Level 2 Training, for free at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre, Swindon.
This training is fully funded through Retrofit West’s Community Grant Funding, allowing us to offer it at no cost to participants. You can find out more about Retrofit West and their work here.
Delivered by The Green Register, this course equips building professionals with essential practical and technical retrofit skills. To find out more about the course, click here.
The day includes hands-on modules in insulation and airtightness, heat pumps, and ventilation. Attendees will also receive access to a set of online learning modules that support the in-person content. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
Completing the course also enables participants to join the Retrofit West supplier database, connecting you with clients seeking retrofit support.
In return for this training:
Participants will need to complete the accompanying online modules by the end of March 2026. They are also asked to contribute up to 3 hours of volunteer time at a community design surgery in B&NES in April–May 2026. This provides a valuable opportunity to engage directly with local landlords and homeowners around retrofit and home improvement. Exact dates will be confirmed closer to the time.
