Frome Youth Playground | Co-design & Build

In February 2025, Neighbourhood Toolbox, working with Super Roots CIC and Woodland Tribe, ran the second of three workshops with young people in Frome to co-design a new youth play area at Mary Bayliss Playing Fields. This session focused on material research, with visits to local forestries, sawmills, quarries and park keepers’ storage to understand what materials could be used, how they might be assembled within budget, and how the structure could be maintained over time. The final workshop takes place in March, when the group will agree on a design and present it to the client team for approval.
