With new regulations now in place, landlords in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) were invited to attend our free B&NES Landlord Forums in 2026.
There are currently no further Landlord Forums scheduled. In the meantime, please see below to download our guidance, which explains what the regulatory changes mean for you and your properties. The guidance also provides clear, practical and impartial advice to help you understand your responsibilities and respond effectively to the changes.
What Is A Landlord Forum
These forums invited Landlords and Property Managers to come together to:
- Hear from B&NES Council on current and upcoming regulations, and the support available to landlords
- Hear from Retrofit West on practical, cost-aware ways to improve your property’s energy performance
- Access several one-to-one drop-in clinics with local retrofit professionals — including architects, heritage & conservation specialists, structural engineers, and M&E engineers — for tailored advice on your property.
Landlord Retrofit Guide
Neighbourhood Toolbox has developed the Landlord Retrofit Guide to support landlords in improving the energy performance of their properties. The guide provides a clear, practical framework to help landlords understand their responsibilities, identify and prioritise retrofit improvements, and create safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient homes for their tenants.

Renters Retrofit Guide
The Renters Retrofit Guide is designed to help tenants make simple, low-cost improvements that can increase comfort and reduce energy use within the scope of their tenancy agreement. Landlords are encouraged to share this guide with their tenants to support better home performance and encourage positive conversations about energy efficiency.
