The Exchange #22 Reusing Structural Steel
On Monday 13 July 2026, NTB will be hosting The Exchange #22: Reusing Structural Steel at Momentum Engineering’s offices in Bath.
This workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges of reusing structural steel, hearing directly from Gavin Cooper, Joe Garbett and Beth Williams from Momenum Engineering. Together, they’ll share lessons from using reclaimed structural steel on several projects including temporary theatre projects and the Bristol Zoo redevelopment, offering practical insights into designing with reclaimed materials and navigating the approvals needed to reuse structural steel elements in these projects forward.
Following the presentations, we’ll continue the conversation over lunch with an interactive discussion on the barriers to using reclaimed materials more widely, giving everyone the opportunity to share experiences, challenge assumptions and explore how these obstacles can be overcome.
